My name is Alexa Guarachi and i’m a 25 year old Professional Tennis Player from Destin Florida. I have an older brother named Stefan. He is two years older than me and has down syndrome and he is my inspiration! I began my tennis career at the age of 5, thanks to my parents who both teach tennis for a living.

As I grew up I played many other sports besides tennis like soccer, basketball and track. Once I was twelve my parents made me choose which sport I wanted to play most and as you can guess it was tennis.

After I committed to tennis I first sky rocketed up the Florida rankings, then the National rankings and lastly the World rankings. At 17 years old I had already traveled to 23 countries playing international events. I was lucky enough to have competed in all the junior Grand Slams. such as the US Open twice, Wimbledon, Australian Open and French Open.

My next endeavor would be to try and conquer Collegiate tennis at the University of Alabama where I was the 7th generation in my family to attend. I had an outstanding career during my tenure. I graduated in 2013 with a degree in Public Relations and left as the most winningest woman tennis player in program history in singles and doubles. ROLL TIDE!

After I graduated and finished the NCAA tournament as a semifinalist in singles and doubles, I was playing the best tennis of my life. I knew that my career wasn’t over just yet. After committing and giving everything I have to this sport for almost 20 years I decided to see if I had what it took for the Pro Tour. I never want to look back on my tennis career and wonder what would have happened if I didn’t.

I am so happy to announce that as of May 2015 I received dual citizenship and I now represent Chile in tennis! My Dad was born and raised in Chile before coming to the U.S. for college, also I have all of my cousins and aunts and uncles there as well. I have been given a tremendous opportunity from the Chilean Tennis Federation to represent Chile in fed cup and it will give me the opportunity to compete at the highest level in my sport.

I really appreciate you visiting my website. I will continue to do my best in updating my site so you can also join me on my journey on the pro tour!
